What is Discord?
Discord is an instant messaging and social platform that we use to stay in touch with our members! It's where our 15,000+ members chat, plan, and connect every day.
What are subgroups?
Beyond our main announcement channels, Discord is broken into Subgroups: smaller communities built around neighborhoods, hobbies, interests, and identity. Think book clubs, trivia crews, DMV neighborhood chats, cookbook club, and more.
What are subgroup events?
Subgroup Events are smaller, member-organized meetups that pop up within these channels. It's a chance to meet women with similar interests in a more low-key setting than our larger CGDC events. It's the easiest way to find "your people" within the bigger group!
Please note: Subgroup events are casual meetups planned by community members, not official CGDC-organized events. CGDC does not manage, supervise, or assume liability for these gatherings.

CGDC events are intended for “City Girls” – all women, nonbinary people, and genderqueer people who identify with that are welcome. All-gender events will be specifically stated as such.
